Our promise

CaptiveVibes is a personal self-reflection tool, and we treat what you share here as personal. This policy explains what we collect, how it's stored, and who can see it — in plain language.

What you share with us

• Account details: your email address and the display name you choose.
• Mood entries: the mood you select, optional notes, tags, the date, and any song link or selfie you add.
• Subscription status: which plan you're on (Premium or Full Access).

How your data is stored

Your account and mood entries are stored in our app's secure, hosted database. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and each entry is tied to your account. Only you can read, edit, or delete your own entries — other members cannot see them. App administrators can manage accounts and respond to support requests but do not review your journal content.

Photos you upload

Selfies you attach to an entry are uploaded to secure storage and given a link so the app can show them to you. Treat that link as something only you should share — anyone who has it can view the photo. You can remove a selfie at any time by editing or deleting its entry.

Music links

Song links point to outside services like Spotify or YouTube. We only store the link you paste — we don't receive your login details or listening history from those services, and their own privacy policies apply when you play a song.

Payments

Subscriptions are handled by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details — PayPal processes payment securely and simply tells us which plan you're on.

Supportive AI reflections

On the Full Access plan, your recent entries may be sent to our AI provider to generate a supportive reflection in your journal. These reflections are created for you in the moment and are not medical advice or a diagnosis.

Controlling and deleting your data

You can edit or delete any mood entry at any time. You can also permanently delete your account and its data from Settings. Once deleted, your entries can't be recovered.
